The journey began with the 1970 launch of Clearview Horticulture Products, our wholesale company that’s still in business today. A joint venture started by Fred Wein and his wife Sidney, and Fred’s mother and her husband, Gladys and Charlie Barron, Clearview Horticulture Products combined Charlie’s extensive knowledge of the Clematis plant with Fred’s business sense. And it wasn’t long before the vacant lot they purchased on the corner of 264 St. and 56th Ave. bloomed into a nursery of greenhouses nurturing hundreds of different plant varieties. As the years went by, generation after generation of Wein growers joined and helped grow the family business, with the oldest of the fifth generation just getting their start today.

While our five generations of family have been seeding British Columbia with beautiful plants for decades through our wholesale partnerships, in 2008 we decided it was time to bring our plants directly to the public, opening Clearview Garden Shop in Langley, B.C.. More than a garden store, Clearview Garden Shop is a community of garden and growing enthusiasts. A community ready and willing to lend expertise and a helping hand to new and seasoned gardeners alike.

Our passion for plants at Clearview Garden Center in engrained in our family DNA. And it’s a passion we look forward to sharing with you soon.
